In December 2015, Mayor Coleman, with the support of the City Council, signed the Compact of Mayors (https://www.compactofmayors.org/).  This agreement has been signed by 633 mayors representing 492 million people worldwide.  By signing the Compact, mayors commit their cities to undertake an inventory of greenhouse gas emissions (buildings, transportation, and waste), develop a climate action and adaptation plan that includes activities designed to reduce emissions, and track and report their efforts and results annually.

The year-long effort to inventory greenhouse gas emissions from buildings and transportation was just completed, and will be shared with the public.  The City wants your feedback: ideas about reducing energy consumption and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.  This feedback will be key to developing the Saint Paul climate and adaptation plan.
